Chumchon Sawis School
Chumphon, Thailand
The second school on our Chumphon trip was Chumchon Sawee School, about 35 kilometers from the city center, with a beautiful, spacious campus. We were warmly welcomed by Principal Kanchit Rakchoo, teachers, and the school's soccer team of 4th and 5th graders — and I even joined them for a game! Thank you to everyone at Chumchon Sawee School for such a heartfelt welcome; we can't wait to come back.

Why We Visited
Since we were already in Chumphon to support TNSU's tennis academy, we wanted to extend our impact beyond university students and reach younger children in the same province — which led us to Chumchon Sawis School.
What We Provided
We provided new footballs and other sports equipment to help the kids stay active, have fun and enjoy a variety of exercises.
What We Learned
While walking around the campus, we came across the school's pool, which had fallen into poor condition after years of disuse during the pandemic. Though small, the pool serves an important purpose — teaching young children to swim, a vital skill given Chumphon's coastal location. We learned it had been installed a few years ago through a donation from local authorities, but never had a proper water filtering system in place. We'd love to help bring it back to life, and if anyone knows of an affordable solution, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you!
